Newswire – Atlanta – July 22, 2014 – Leading institutional investor in cellular site locations across the US, TowerPoint Capital (TowerPoint) today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed eleven year industry veteran Jesse Wellner as Chief Executive Officer.  Wellner previously held the position of Managing Director and head of TowerPoint’s national originations platform.

Since joining TowerPoint in 2009, Wellner has led TowerPoint’s origination platform and strategic business development initiatives.  During his tenure, Wellner has directed a series of highly successful capital markets initiatives, raising both institutional equity and debt for TowerPoint’s operations and acquisitions.  Most notably, Wellner architected senior management’s recent acquisition of the company from Land Lease Group (LLG) and subsequent partnership with AllianceBerstein Private Credit Investors.  John Gutowski, TowerPoint’s Chief Operating Officer, commented “Jesse has helped reshape and retool the company.  He’s built relationships, and he’s built confidence.  The company is well positioned in the marketplace due to his hard work and the TowerPoint team is energized by his appointment to Chief Executive Officer.”
