An unnamed source has recently reported that there is the possibility that T-Mobile US is considering the idea of purchasing airwave space (spectrum) from one of their larger rivals, namely Verizon Wireless. Should this T-Mobile Verizon deal be approved, it would result in the company being able to significantly improve the quality of their mobile network capacity for data-related services.

According to the source that is quite familiar with details surrounding the deal, the cellular network provider has already approached Verizon Wireless with regards to the purchase of the spectrum. However, the T-Mobile Verizon purchase deal is still in the very early stages and it could be a matter of time before the deal can be completely finalized.

Presently the fourth largest cellular network provider in the United States, the company may find themselves having to pay out as much as $3 billion in order to successfully close the T-Mobile Verizon airwave deal. According to an analyst, the airwaves that the company is keen to purchase are currently not being used by Verizon to provide any type of network data or services to their clients.

At present, it is possible that T-Mobile may be lagging behind a few of the larger competitors in the playing field when it comes to delivering high speed wireless network services and facilities throughout the United States. Being able to secure this T-Mobile Verizon deal would go a long way in enabling the company to up their game. As a result, they would stand far more chance of being able to compete against some of the larger cellular network providers.

Being able to secure this additional spectrum would enable the cellular provider to offer their clients a faster and more reliable broadband service than before. As a result, it could lead to the cellular company being able to significantly increase their client base. This would in turn result in improved revenue that could be utilized to further improve the quality of their network in the future.

The company is currently declining to comment or provide further information on the possibility of securing this T Mobile Verizon deal. At present, Currently, Verizon Wireless is owned by the Vodafone Group Plc as well as Verizon Communications Inc. At the time of going to press, representatives from the company were not available to comment further on the potential TMobile Verizon spectrum purchase deal.
